Barrel Maker Museum
We have opened a Barrel Maker Museum this summer. To our knowledge there are only 2 similar museums in Germany. The grant opening happened on Sunday, July 3rd, 2011.
The museum is located on our property and is equipped with tools and finished products from my father, Emil Kiefer, who used to be the last local barrel maker in Zell-Weierbach.
For some information on our museum in English, please click on Building a Barrel Maker Museum and on Grand Opening of the Barrel Maker Museum. Otherwise you can always visit our Museum website (in German only though).
If you happen to be visiting this area please stop by for a visit!

Dear sirs:
I have just found out that my ancesters were Barrel Makers.
My maiden name is Scheffler.
Did you or anyone ever heard of them?
If you have any information on them, please e-mail me.
I find wooden stuff is so pretty.
I have always wanted a cuckoo clock. Maybe some day i’ll
get one.
Thank you
